Palm Beach Gardens resident gets $18 million from nationwide foreclosure settlement

A Palm Beach Gardens homeowner has received $18 million from a nationwide foreclosure settlement with banks, the Palm Beach Post reported. Lynn Szymoniak helped reveal the problems of the robo-signing scandal. “I always tend to discount everything until it’s signed,” she said. “I knew it was part of the settlement in February, but not how much.” The deal is part of a $95 million settlement with banks engineered by Bill Nettles, U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina.
