Broward title company president charged in mortgage fraud scheme

Parkland resident Michelle Austin-Wilks, the president of a Broward County title and escrow company, has been charged in an information for her alleged role in a multi-million-dollar mortgage fraud scheme, United States Attorney Wifredo Ferrer announced today. According to the information, Austin-Wilks and others engaged in a scheme to fraudulently buy and sell property through straw buyers.
