Delray retirement community gets last of $30 million in Wilma insurance payments

Delray Beach’s Kings Point retirement community is set to receive the last of $30 million in insurance payments following its devastation during Hurricane Wilma. The funds have been used to make repairs to the property, including roofs and siding, according to Ron Kern, President of the Independent Condominium Association, which represents 65 condo boards in the country and half of the Kings Point. “It’s been a long, arduous process,” he said. “But this is an uplifting shot in the arm.” [Sun Sentinel]
