The U.S. government has purchased a Lake Park site for an undisclosed amount, according to McCraney Property Company, which handled the deal. The government plans to build a 50,000-square-foot training facility on the 18-acre parcel, which is located just north of Riviera Beach near Silver Beach Road. The building could create $23 million in construction expenditures. “The deal was a challenging one, taking two years to negotiate and obtain the necessary approvals,” said Steven McCraney, president and CEO of McCraney Property Company. The center will house 600 Army reservists for training. — Alexander Britell
