FPL fined $140,000 for safety violations at Turkey Point nuclear plant

Florida Power & Light has been fined $140,000 for safety violations at its Turkey Point nuclear plant in Homestead, the Sun Sentinel reported. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission said the violations were of “low to moderate safety significance” that could invite more inspections.
