Mixed-use building in Pompano Beach sells for steep discount

A 55,106-square-foot retail and office building in Pompano Beach has sold for $2.77 million, a 53 percent discount off the value of its mortgage, according to the South Florida Business Journal. The property had been the target of a foreclosure in 2010 until its loan was sold to a Connecticut-based firm. The buyer of the property was Los Angeles, Calif.-based Bigfoot Entertainment. [SFBJ]
