Coastal launches small projects division

Miami-based Coastal Construction has partnered with Winmar Construction to create a small projects division for jobs under $10 million. The new division will specialize in commercial interiors and hospitality projects, including restaurants, retail and institutional sites. Winmar CEO Edwin Villegas and Miami operation president Luis Leon will lead the division. “Clients were requesting our services for projects outside the scope of our typical job profile,” said Coastal CEO Tom Murphy, Jr. “Our alliance with Winmar will enable us to take this work on and deliver the same high standards, commitment to quality and customer service for projects for which Coastal is known.” Coastal is currently working on projects including the SLS Hotel in Miami Beach and the Oceana condominium Key Biscayne. — Alexander Britell
