The popular Palm Beach burger, shake and cake joint Hamburger Heaven may be closing its doors for good after a dispute with its landlord, Gwinn Realty, over rent and the terms of its lease, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. The restaurant’s building, which is located at 314 South County Road, could be the latest on the block to lose its tenant with three other neighboring commercial spaces unoccupied.
Other business owners on the street are concerned that if Hamburger Heaven went out of business or moved that it would have a negative impact on the entire area. “There would be a lot of times when people were waiting for tables and they’d come over to the store, or they’d come with their kids,” said Jeffrey Jacobus, owner of Classic Bookshop, which is next door to the burger shop.
