Roadblocks emerge for planned Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood

The planned Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood has hit a snag, the Miami Herald reported. Developer Lon Tabatchnik has found out that the project will have to satisfy a new demand from Broward County that could mean months of additional work. “This is an unforeseen circumstance,” Tabatchnik said. The county’s request involves the definition of the boundaries of the property, which is located at Johnson Street and State Road A1A. “I still have faith in [Tabatchnik] and this development,” said Hollywood Commissioner Heidi O’Sheehan. “Just to throw it to the curbside because we’ve hit a couple of bumps is not in the best interest of any of us.” [Miami Herald]
