The historic downtown Miami post office will soon house the American Institute of Architects’ Miami Center for Architecture and Design. The former federal courthouse will include a gallery space, an architecture store and the offices of the Miami chapter of the AIA. Its second floor will include lab studios and meeting rooms. The 5,500-square-foot lease was handled by Metro 1 Commercial’s Tony Cho and Tony Arellano, who represented the landlord, the Scott Robins Companies. ComReal’s Louise Bendix represented AIA Miami. The post office, which is located at 100 NE 1 Avenue, was designed by architect Oscar Wenderoth. — Alexander Britell
