Miami saw growth across all facets of the hotel sector in June, according to a report from STR. Miami’s occupancy rate rose 2.6 percent to 72.6 percent, while its average daily rate jumped 8.3 percent and revenue available per room increased by 11.1 percent. “We are just super busy,” said Gregory Rumpel, managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle hotels in Miami. Despite the improvement, the area is not seeing similar strength in the group sector, Rumpel said. [Hotel News Now] — Alexander Britell
