County Commission approves $300M mixed-use development in West Palm Beach

The Palm Beach County Commission has given its approval to the so-called “transit village” project, a $300 million mixed-use hub on a six-acre site in West Palm Beach, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The parcel, which is located at the intersection of Banyan Boulevard and North Tamarind Avenue, known as “the wedge,” will be sold to development firm Transit Village, which is led by Michael Masanoff. Current plans for the site include 300 residential units, 38 of which will be workforce housing, along with a 290-space parking garage, 400,000 square feet of office space, a 375-room hotel, and 87,500 square feet of mixed commercial and community space.  [SFBJ] – Christopher Cameron
