Texas-based Behringer Harvard building 180-unit complex in Delray

Texas-based developer Behringer Harvard has begun construction on a 180-unit apartment complex in Delray Beach, according to the Sun Sentinel. The property, called “The Franklin Delray,” is located on an 8-acre tract at 1206 South Federal Highway in Delray Beach. More and more developers are going the multi-family route in South Florida of late. “There’s definitely enough demand for apartments – I don’t see any red flags yet,” said real estate analyst Jack McCabe. “But unless government entities rein in construction, we could quickly, within a year, be in an oversupply stage again.” [Sun Sentinel]
