Palm Beach County single-family home prices rise 15 percent

The median sales price for single-family homes in Palm Beach County rose by 15.1 percent in July compared to the same period in 2011, according to data released today by the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches. The median sales price for condominiums rose 12.5 percent in the same period. Activity is also on the rise, with a 20.7 percent jump in the county for single-family homes in July. “Overall, the housing market in Palm Beach County is improving on all fronts,” said Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches President Bonnie Lazar. There were 6,788 single-family homes and 6,815 townhomes and condos listed for sale in the county in July. — Alexander Britell
