California-based film effects company Digital Domain Media Group is closing its Port St. Lucie location, the company announced today, according to the Los Angeles Times. The news joins the announcement that CEO John Textor is stepping down as well. The company’s decision means as many as 300 job losses in St. Lucie. Digital Domain, which sponsors the New York Mets’ spring training facility, also in Port St. Lucie, had recently opened a West Palm Beach-based Digital Domain Institute. [LA Times]
