South End’s BankUnited Building leases 90 percent of ground-floor space

The recently renovated two-floor BankUnited Building in the South End has leased 90 percent of its first-floor space and nearly 50 percent of space on the second level, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.

Brett Forman, the building’s owner, fully renovated the building, which is located at 2875 South Ocean Boulevard, last year. The 35,000-square-foot building has recently added the BankUnited island branch — the structure’s new namesake — South Ocean Pharmacy and Century 21 real estate. Also in the building are In-Town Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and Style Bar Salon & Day Spa. Rents range from $300 to $2,000 a month.

“There had been a suite of shared offices in the building before, but of far lesser quality,” Forman said. “It [Forman’s Palm Beach Executive Center] had been a successful operation, so I thought we would do something similar, but definitely a step above, as there seems to be a need for this.” [PBDN]Christopher Cameron
