Miami Lakes office plaza sells for $6.4M

The Lakes Plaza office building in Miami Lakes has been sold for $6.4 million, according to Betty Gonzalez, director of office and retail investments at Keyes Commercial. Gonzalez represented the seller in the transaction on the 44,336-square-foot property, which is located at 8181 NW 154th Street and anchored by BB&T Bank. “Over the course of the past year, as office vacancies have fallen and rental rates have risen, we have also seen increased interest from investors for quality office properties,” she said. “Buyers recognize that the office market is still not as strong as the retail segment, but the upside potential offers a better opportunity as the economy continues to improve and demand for office space rises.” — Alexander Britell
