Developer Hollo funding new real estate school at FIU in Brickell

Florida International University will be creating a new School of Real Estate thanks to longtime Miami developer Tibor Hollo, the Miami Herald reported. The program, which will be called the Tibor & Sheila Hollo School of Real Estate, is being funded by a gift of $2.5 million from Hollo. “Real estate is one of the resources that cannot grow; we cannot make more of it,” he said. “Only scientifically can we really administer land property. That can only be done in an academic environment.” The school will be located at FIU’s downtown Miami campus. It will officially take his name at a ceremony on Friday. [Miami Herald]
