Doral mayor to join Akerman Senterfitt’s real estate practice when term expires

Juan Carlos Bermudez, the current mayor of Doral, will be joining Miami law firm Akerman Senterfitt when his term expires Nov. 27, the firm announced Monday. Bermudez, who was the first mayor of Doral, has served since 2003. He will focus on land use and zoning, government law and procurement and international investment. Bermudez is joining the Real Estate Practice Group as of counsel.  — Alexander Britell
