Onetime U.S. Senate candidate and real estate developer Jeff Greene recently led the buying group that paid $34 million for the unsold condominium units at downtown West Palm Beach’s City Palms complex, according to the Palm Beach Post. It follows Greene’s purchase of 71 units at Palm Beach’s 2560 South Ocean building from Dizengoff in September, first reported by The Real Deal. “I believe very much in our community and I think the downtown area is very, very exciting,” Greene said. “I know how the markets fluctuate, and, when I think long term, you absolutely cannot go wrong investing in Palm Beach County.” Greene intends to rent the condo units.
