A 1935 federal style red brick house by famed architect Maurice Fatio in Miami Beach is facing demolition, Curbed reported. Fatio was once one of the most popular architect in New York City — Cole Porter is supposed to have once said, “I want to have lunch on Maurice Fatio’s Patio.” But today one of his creations at 5446 North Bay Road could be destroyed by its current residents, who want replace their home with a more modern structure. Interestingly the house is also currently listed for sale, according to Curbed, and since it is not landmarked its fate remains uncertain. [Curbed] —Christopher Cameron
