A Washington D.C.-based engineering executive has transformed what was an $8 million Miami estate into a $40 million party pad, in what has become one of the most expensive renovations of a private home in Miami history, according to the Wall Street Journal. The M.C. Dean executive poured some $32 million into the 2.35-acre compound, adding a spa, four guest suites and a pool house—18,100 square feet in all — to the seven-bedroom main house, which was rebuilt by Miami’s Capponi Construction Group.
This Friday Dean plans to unveil the massive renovation project and celebrate his birthday with a 500-guest black-tie party. Dean told the Journal that the entire property has been redesigned to be as conducive as possible to entertaining. [WSJ] —Christopher Cameron
