The man who created “As Seen on TV” has been revealed as the buyer of the $34 million triplex penthouses at Ian Schrager’s Residences at the Miami Beach Edition, the New York Post reported.
Telemarketing king Ajit Khubani reportedly beat Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, who had been in talks to buy the apartments, to the punch by laying down the purchase price in cash.
The Edition, a 26-unit John Pawson-designed combination condo-hotel, is set to open in 2014.
Khubani’s newly-acquired penthouses boast 10,000 square feet of indoor space, as well as more than 6,000 square feet of outdoor space. [NYP] —Emily Schmall
