The proposed 52-story Chelsea tower’s owner plans to revamp the project, exMiami reported.

The mixed-use building at 1550 Biscayne Boulevard is now slated to contain 15 floors of parking spaces, 10 floors for offices and 23 floors of condominiums. Under the plan, there will be 675 parking spaces, 222 residential units and 170,564 square feet of non-residential space.

Developer Mallory Kauderer, who filed a redesign to the City of Miami, said market conditions will determine when construction begins. Revuelta Architecture prepared the new design, and the Urban Development Review Board last week signed off on it.

The proposed changes to a Major Use Special Permit granted in 2006 will retain office space on the lower floors and residential units on the upper floors, ex Miami said. [exMiami]Mark Maurer
