Rosie O’Donnell’s life in her new Jupiter Inlet Colony home-to-be is off to a grisly start. A construction worker committed suicide near the pool today, a few days before the deed is expected to be signed for $5.6 million, Gossip Extra reported.

The 7,429-square-foot Palm Beach manse at 104 Lighthouse Drive is the estate of “Grease” star Olivia Newton-John. O’Donnell was in contract to buy it earlier this month at half a million below the Newton-John’s asking price, as previously reported.

The 42-year-old construction worker died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, he said. He has not yet been identified by police, pending notification to family members, the report said.

“This is a terrible tragedy, and we’re not commenting at this time,” Donnell told Gossip Extra through her publicist.

Realtors are no longer required by law to reveal slayings and suicides in a home to a buyer within two years of the sale, Palm Beach Realtor Doug Rill told the website. [Gossip Extra]Mark Maurer
