Swire Properties today unveiled its 80-story, mixed-use tower that is part of its $1 billion-plus Brickell CityCentre project. The developer will include retail space and Class A office space, as well as condominiums, a hotel, and a lounge at the site, currently home to the Northern Trust Bank tower.
“Our goal is to develop a structure that will be artful in its mix of uses and will advance Brickell Avenue’s stature as Miami’s premier destination,’’ Stephen Owens, Swire’s president, said in a statement to the Miami Herald about the One Brickell CityCentre tower, to be designed by Arquitectonica.
Swire paid a shade over $64 million for the site in July, which it bought from Northern Trust Co. and co-trustees of the Marjorie O. Brickell Revocable Trust. [Miami Herald] – Hiten Samtani
