Hallandale Beach park developers propose 5-acre expansion

An 11-story bronze Pegasus statue could be the symbol of a sea change at the Village at Gulfstream in Hallandale Beach.

Pegasus Florida and the Gulfstream Park Racing Association have proposed an expansion of the Stronach Group-owned park that would add condominiums, a hotel and an amusement park. The proposed new name would be Pegasus Park. The park now has a horse racing track, offices and some retail.

Hallandale Beach officials “are taking it seriously,” according to a city spokesperson.
