Foreclosures in South Florida declined 13 percent to 31,299 cases in the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, according to Condo Vultures.
The biggest drop was in Palm Beach County, where foreclosures fell 24 percent from 8,775 to 6,654 in 12 months.
The chart shows that foreclosures occurred substantially less often in September 2013 compared to September 2012. Last year, there were 4,268 foreclosures in South Florida, compared to 1,782 this year. — Emily Schmall
