A nearly 24,000-square-foot mansion on 10 sprawling acres in Southwest Ranches is part of a two-day private auction that also includes fine art and jewelry. The property is considered the largest home in Broward County currently up for sale.
After spending five years constructing the 13811 Luray Road mansion, owners Ray and Pam Moses are selling the home to the highest bidder on Dec. 8. They had listed the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion for $10 million last year. Auction Company of America is conducting the sale.
Bids for the property, which includes a guesthouse and a four-car garage, start at $5 million, the Miami Herald reported. The land was originally used as a home for horses before the Moses family bought the property in 2003 for $2.23 million. [Miami Herald] — Eric Kalis
