Palm Beach zoning board spared elimination

The commission, which the council voted to eliminate in May, will now meet on the third Tuesday of every month except when the agenda includes nothing major.

A final vote on its fate was slated for fall. But Chairman Tanner Rose and Parking and Zoning Commissioner Martin Klein agreed to obey the council’s rules if it was allowed to continue. The commission is to give priority to matters involving coastal construction, business signs, parking permits and veterinarian offices. [Palm Beach Daily News]Mark Maurer
