All Aboard Florida has finalized plans for its Fort Lauderdale station in the city’s emerging Flagler Village neighborhood.
The venture is expected to announce the station site immediately north of Broward Boulevard this Friday, Curbed reported. That rules out any chance of a station in the city’s Las Olas Riverfront area. The station would likely be constructed between a vacant Florida Power & Light property and the Broward Central Terminal bus depot.
All Aboard Florida has now chosen all four station sites. The passenger rail service would have stops in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. Architecture firms Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Zyscovich are designing the stations. [Curbed Miami] — Eric Kalis
