Ex-Dolphin Joey Porter’s mansion slated for auction
Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter’s house in Southwest Ranches is headed to a foreclosure auction on Feb. 26.
The 10,600-square-foot house at 16900 Stratford Court in Landmark Ranch Estates sits on more than two acres, the South Florida Business Journal reported. Porter and his wife lost a $2.7 million foreclosure judgment against Boca Raton’s 1st United Bank.
He bought the house the same year he signed a five-year, $32 million deal with the Dolphins. He paid $4 million for the property, which had been constructed the year before.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in contract to buy a 13,700-square-foot mansion in the neighborhood for $4.5 million, as reported last week. [South Florida Business Journal] — Mark Maurer
