Boca Raton development gets $75M loan

The owner of the Via Mizner Golf & Country Club mixed-use project site in Boca Raton has obtained $75 million in construction financing.

Via Mizner Owner received the mortgage from HSBC Bank USA, South Florida Business Journal reported. The company, managed by Mark Gensheimer, owns the three acre development site at 800 South Federal Highway. Gensheimer manages another company that owns the office buildings on each side of the site.

Gensheimer’s company has approval to build 366 rental apartments, along with retail and office space and a parking garage. It is using the EB-5 program to raise capital for the development. Penn-Florida is the project developer. [South Florida Business Journal] — Eric Kalis
