The North Beach Village section of Fort Lauderdale is about to get an influx of new hotel offerings.
Several hotels are slated to open in the area next month, the Sun-Sentinel reported. Most notably, hotel operator North Beach Village Resort plans to unveil its flagship North Beach Hotel at 551 Breakers Avenue. Swedish developer Par Sanda’s investment group, which has acquired more than 35 properties in the area and spent at least $80 million renovating and redeveloping the buildings, is behind the 17-room North Beach Hotel and 200-seat restaurant to open there.
In mid-April, the initial phase of the Flow Hotel at Bayshore Drive and Birch Road is scheduled to open. The first phase has 25 rooms, but the entire project is planned for 100 rooms in three buildings.
At 855 Northeast 20th Avenue, the existing 31-room male only Retro Schubert Hotel is slated to close for renovations on April 26 and reopen after renovations as the family-friendly Victoria Park Hotel. [Sun-Sentinel] — Eric Kalis
