Miami Dolphins linebacker Dannell Ellerbe paid nearly $1.6 million for a mansion in Davie, The Real Deal has learned.

Ellerbe acquired the 10,938-square-foot home on Thursday, according to Broward County records. His purchase also included a 38,240-square-foot vacant parcel. RBC Bank (Georgia) N.A. gave Ellerbe a $1.13 million mortgage.

The six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom manse was constructed in 2008. Advantage Asset Holdings of West Palm Beach sold the home to Ellerbe.

A five-year National Football League veteran, Ellerbe is entering his second season with the Dolphins. The team’s practice facility is located in Davie.
