Basketball star Rudy Gay purchased a Southwest Ranches mansion for more than $2.1 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The Sacramento Kings forward and his wife Ecko acquired the seven-bedroom, 10,373-square-foot home in an all-cash transaction, according to Broward County records. Angelo and Yolanda Thrower sold the 16875 Berkshire Court manse to the couple. The county recorded the transaction Monday.

Constructed in 2004 on nearly 2.4 acres, the mansion has seven full bathrooms and one half-bathroom.

The home acquisition gives Gay another reason to celebrate. His alma mater, the University of Connecticut, won its fourth men’s basketball championship on Monday night. Gay and his wife are also expecting their first child any day now, according to numerous reports.
