Broward Health acquired Spectrum Office Park in Fort Lauderdale for $13.5 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Formerly known as the North Broward Hospital District, Broward Health purchased the two-building complex at 1700 and 1800 Northwest 49th Street on Tuesday, according to Broward County records. No financing was recorded. The seller, Chicago-based Sawgrass & Spectrum SDCO, paid $13.1 million for the nearly 8.4-acre properties in May 2001.

Constructed in 2000, the buildings have a combined 91,000 square feet. The complex is located near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Broward Health is one of the 10 largest health systems in the U.S., according to its website. It currently operates more than 30 facilities. — Eric Kalis
