A 63-year-old Miami Beach building is about to get a substantial makeover.
Architect Kobi Karp is overseeing the renovation of the Bhojwani Tower, exMiami reported. The building is located on the northeast corner of Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue. Designed by Albert Anis, Bhojwani was originally constructed in 1951.
Karp plans to bring back certain aspects of the tower’s original design. One element that helped win over Miami Beach planners is the use of glazing on the second level, which is currently just a blank wall.
The city’s historic preservation board approved Karp’s design last week. [exMiami] — Eric Kalis
