All Aboard Florida talks to county about downtown land
All Aboard Florida is in talks with Miami-Dade County officials about picking up an additional 2.7 acres in downtown Miami for its proposed version of New York’s Grand Central Station.
The property is home to a day care facility, parking lot and small park. All Aboard Florida would use the land to construct a parking structure for the downtown station, exMiami reported. It already owns about nine acres in the area.
A deal with the county could include the construction of a consolidated bus station by All Aboard Florida. Miami-Dade officials expect to receive the full proposal from the company within the next month. [exMiami] — Eric Kalis
