South Florida foreclosures continued to decline last month, according to the latest report from Condo Vultures.

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties had a substantial year-over-year decline in foreclosures, from 3,468 in April 2013 to 1,652 last month. The region had 7,201 foreclosures during the first four months of 2014, way down from 17,145 during the same period in 2013.

In Miami-Dade, foreclosures dropped from 1,154 in April 2013 to 555 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures fell from 6,896 to 2,575. Broward County’s year-over-year foreclosures declined from 1,568 to 703 last month, while its year-to-date foreclosures dropped from 6,586 to 2,955.

Palm Beach County had a smaller decline, from 746 foreclosures in April 2013 to only 394 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures dropped from 3,663 to 1,671. — Eric Kalis
