West Palm Beach hotel changes hands for $15M

A West Palm Beach hotel traded for $15 million, Palm Beach County records show.

East Windsor, N.J.-based West Palm Beach Hotel sold the DoubleTree by Hilton West Palm Beach Airport on April 22. The company is managed by Carey Tajfel, who is co-president of Hotels Unlimited. It paid about $6.7 million for the 175-room hotel in July 2004.

Hotel West Palm Beach of Louisville, Ky. is the buyer. The company shares a mailing address with Schulte Hospitality Group. It did not obtain financing for the purchase.
