The Miami-Dade School Board is considering unloading some land after getting appraisals on two parcels in west and central Miami-Dade.
The land was valued at more than $6.5 million by the property appraiser’s office, according to the Miami Herald. The school district will now use those estimates to seek bids.
The larger property is a three-block, 25-acre section of Kendall West, to the north of Lamar Louise Curry Middle School. The smaller swath is a 4-acre plot in an industrial area south of Bird Road and to the east of the Palmetto Expressway — a decommissioned school bus storage space.
The board will use revenue from the sales to fund capital projects. [Miami Herald] – Christopher Cameron
