A waterfront Fort Lauderdale mansion was acquired by longtime venture capital and private equity firm executive Andrew Heller for $15 million, The Real Deal has learned.

Heller bought the 1 Isla Bahia Drive home in a transaction recorded on Thursday, according to Broward County records. The six-bedroom, 12,428-square-foot manse was constructed in 1998. Heller, the principal of Heller Capital Corp., received a $9 million loan from Goldman Sachs Bank USA for the purchase.

SRUN Consultants of Fort Lauderdale sold the mansion to Heller. Julian Cohen signed the deed as president of the company. SRUN paid $15.5 million for the 0.58-acre property in May 2008.
