A vacant residential property next to DenTek founder and CEO John Jansheski’s Star Island mansion changed hands for $10.5 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The buying company lists 27 Star Island Drive as its mailing address on the deed. The 10,444-square-foot mansion at 27 Star Island Drive is owned by Knoxville, Tenn.-based Starboard Florida IV. Jansheski is Starboard’s managing member.

Jansheski paid $10.8 million for 27 Star Island Drive in May 2011. He put it on the market for $21 million in March 2012 but was unable to find a buyer.

Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg of The Jills brokerage team at Coldwell Banker arranged the transaction on behalf of the seller. Lipe Medeiros of Douglas Elliman Real Estate represented the buyer.
