Palm Beach County rife with high-end home sales

Palm Beach County recorded several expensive residential deals this week, led by the $23.1 million sale of an Estate Section mansion in Palm Beach.

Janice and Robert Diamond sold the 13,341-square-foot manse at 738 South County Road in a transaction recorded on Monday, according to Palm Beach County records. The couple paid about $4 million for the lakefront 1.26-acre property in 1996. The West Palm Beach-based 738 South County Road Revocable Trust is the buyer of the 12-bedroom home, which was built in 1999.

Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates listed the home for sale. Cristine Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer. No financing was recorded.

Elsewhere in Palm Beach, Zdzislaw Ciomek and Janina Radtke sold a nearly 9,000-square-foot residence at 640 Island Drive for $13.3 million. The buyer of the Everglades Island home is Stamford, Conn.-based 640 Everglades Island, which did not obtain financing. Sotheby’s Condon also had he 640 Island Drive listing, while Linda A. Gary of Linda A. Gary Real Estate represented the buyer.

Other pricey transactions recorded this week included the $10 million trade of a Boca Raton mansion. David and Claudia Roberts matched their May 2008 purchase price in the sale of the 152 West Alexander Palm Road property. Cherise Goel, operating as trustee of the 152 W. Alexander Palm Road Trust, is the buyer of the eight-bedroom, 13,696-square-foot home.

In Manalapan, a vacant 1.9-acre parcel changed hands for $11.4 million. Bali 620 Realty Trust sold the 640 South Ocean Boulevard property after paying $7.1 million for the land in December 2010. Jackson Real Estate Partners of West Palm Beach is the buyer.
