Major redevelopment is coming to Delray Beach.
The historic Sundy House hotel, restaurant and gardens — as well as multiple properties in the area — were sold to a real estate partnership for $17.15 million.
Delray Beach-based Hudson Holdings purchased the property with Marshall Florida Holdings of Fort Lauderdale.
The Sundy House, lcoated at 106 South Swinton Avenue, is expected to expand its catering, brunch and banquet business.
Other properties in the 5-acre portfolio that was owned by Delray Beach developer Tom Worrell include The Rectory on the corner of Atlantic and Swinton avenues as well as the Cathcart House on Swinton Avenue.
The properties will be developed into shops, offices and a hotel. The Sundy Historic Village will be moved to the east side of Swinton Avenue. [Palm Beach Post] — Claire Moses
