The Wal-Mart in Jupiter is set to become a Wal-Mart Supercenter once an expansion project is finished in six months.

Wal-Mart is investing about $12 million to increase the Indiantown Road store from 128,000 to 165,000 square feet. It plans to add 75 employees to the 210 staffers who already work at the store. Parking spaces would be reduced from 704 to 671, however.

About 7,900 customers make the trip to the Indiantown Road Wal-Mart each day, according to Jupiter records cited by the Palm Beach Post. The expansion should add around 1,500 more daily trips.

Wal-Mart Supercenters typically include a grocery store, pharmacy and vision department, photo services and gardening centers. [Palm Beach Post]Eric Kalis
