A segment of Hialeah off I-75 has roused developers’ interest, after years of inactivity. The area has recently attracted two major residential projects that will bring thousands of homes and transform sprawling raw parcels into master-planned communities, according to the Daily Business Review.

Miami-based Lennar Corp. is building Aragon, a Spanish-style gated community along West 34th Avenue, where homes will range from 2,362 to 2,776 square feet and prices will run from $359,000 to $414,000.

A second project on 128 acres along 97th Avenue between 138th and 154th streets, is being developed by Fort Lauderdale-based BBX Capital Real Estate and CC Devco Home, following a $15.6 million land transfer.

That project will bring 1,170 single-family homes and 314 apartments to the area. [DBR] Christopher Cameron
