Former Miami Dolphins defensive standout Adewale Ogunleye plunked down $2.3 million on a home in Weston’s Windmill Lake Estates neighborhood, The Real Deal has learned.
Ogunleye, who spent the first four years of his 11-season career in Miami, acquired the 3816 Pine Lake Drive house in a transaction recorded on Monday, according to Broward County records. The longtime defensive end did not obtain financing for the purchase.
Eric and Susan Friedman sold the six-bedroom home to Ogunleye. The couple paid $390,000 for the 1.2-acre property in June 2009. The more than 6,500 square foot house was constructed in 2011.
Features include a four-car garage, 12-seat home theater, swimming pool, spa and backyard basketball court.
Cliff Glansen of the Sheridan Network was the listing agent.
Ogunleye also had stints with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texas during his professional football career.
