The new owners of Delray Beach’s Sundy House hope to bring a fresh look to the historic building.
Hudson Holdings wants to expand the 112-year-old house with new rooms and a larger space for private events. Improvements will include a bigger dance floor and a private entrance separate from the rest of the house.
The owners hope to create an upscale hangout that will include theme nights, chauffeured rides around downtown and even transportation to local airports, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
This will be the first significant upgrade to the building since 1998 and is expected to take three months to complete.
In addition to the house, Hudson Holdings is hoping to develop a mixed-use project on Swinton Avenue. Any future development would be subject to approval by the City Commission. [Sun-Sentinel] — Frank Maradiaga
